Had a report of around 500 ducks around the Ducktoon a few days ago.
Heading out now to see for myself. Might be able to get some "through the binocular" pics.

Well I guess you could say we had about 500 "ducks" but most were coots. Maybe 50 big ducks and 100 teal. Bad pics

Had 15 ring necks and at least 30 big ducks(couldn't identify) and then around 50 BWT on the 4 acre pond this weekend. Other than the ring necks I would say all is looking good!!

I saw a few large groups of teal and a couple of smaller groups of big ducks when I went scouting last week. I'm probably doing some scouting tomorrow, we'll see if anything has changed!

I can't wait! Going to the panhandle to hunt some playa lakes the second week of November. The last time we had this much water up here I limited out every morning in around 30 min or less! Any reports on ducks in the panhandle region?

We road in the marsh between Winnie and Port Arthur for 4 hours brushing blinds this past Saturday and we saw probably 100 teal and 50 mottled ducks. No other ducks besides the ones that should already be around.
I'm with GK because I like salty old dudes.

I love coots. They add real life in your decoys. With them hanging around you have so much movement the ducks can't tell your decoys are not real.
