We had coons and snakes getting into my dad's coop. We ran an electric fence wire around the bottom of the pen. No problems since then.

Definately fix wherever he's gettin in at first, then try to trap it or wait him out one night and shoot him. Get a cage trap and brush it up real good next to the pin, throw some chicken feathers in the back with some bobcat gland lure like cat fancy or puuuurfect, he should have a hard time not goin in there

Have a picture of the fox, but it seems I may also have a skunk. Something is digging under walls / fence to get into the pen. The size of the hole wouldn't fit with the fox. It's digging up where the dead chickens are buried, two feet deep! Setting out a live trap tonight to catch that critter.

Had a live trap, Snare, and a foot trap set. Nothing near the live trap, missed the snare, disturbed ground around foot trap without setting it off. Dug in under fence in new area, dug up two areas as before in search of dead chickens. Will re-evaluate and re-locate traps tonight. Stay tuned.

Definitely have a skunk lurking, keeps missing the snare, fox seems to have gotten bored and stopped showing up as frequently. Plan to move box trap to snare spot for tonight's effort.

Put a few eggs in that live trap but you have to block it down good like put brush over it and behind it and set it right next to the coop, make it look like a hole in the brush and crack an egg or too as well in there. Skunks there for the eggs

Mothballs or ammonia will repel the skunk. Might have to keep reapplying them though
