Bought a propane grill and want to hook it up to the existing gas line in my out door kitchen. I've been to Lowes, HD,and 2 large plumbing supply shops with zero luck finding a kit or the necessary fittings to get the job done. Last plumbing supply store I went to suggest calling my propane supply company, but when I did they just said that don't sell fittings to the public. (I'm sure they'll install the grill for a fee). So... where the heck do I go to get fittings/adaptors for this project? Looking for something close to Denton if possible. Here are pic's of what I have to go from and to... The convex is what is currently coming off of the supply line. The hose and regulator are the ones that came with the grill. I removed that propane bottle adaptor because that obviously doesn't come into play on this kind of install.

Lowes and HD usually has them back in the appliance or water heater area

You really need the conversion kit fom grill manufacturer. I bought a Char Broil grill and found a nat gas conversion kit at Sears. It came with a 10 foot gas supply line and fittings. Much safer than the route you are taking.
Check manufacturers web site for a conversion kit.
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Check manufacturers web site for a conversion kit. I'm not on natural gas. Propane.

Oh wait..... are you wanting to connect a home propane supply.? If so, need to know the manifold pressure of the grill. Regulator on tank will be set to 10 inches water column. If the grill regulator is less than 10, you will still need grill regulator. To adapt the fittings in you picture will probably require several pieces. Don't think you will find one fitting to do the job.

If that is the larger 7/8 yellow gas flex, you should be able to use a 15/16" male flare X 1/2" male npt adapter. A plumbing store will have this. If you home is propane, the regualator that comes with the grill will be sufficient. That regulator should be 1/2 npt threads on each side.

The output wasn't enough to run the grill. I ended up going back to the bottle, but with a filler hose on the home tank to fill up the cooking bottles.

Basic difference between nat gas and propane. Nat gas supply to home. Distribution line before meter 5+psi, after meter .05 psi, each appliance regulator reduces to 3 to 4 inches of water column (.12 psi).
Propane tanks pressure on an 80 degree day is about 130 psi. The tank regulator reduces the the line pressure to 10 inches water column(.4 psig). No regulator is required at appliance.
In addition, both regulators have an orifice which must be sized to total load.
Connecting a proane grill to a home supply could present a number of challenges.
If the grill design manifold pressure is less that 10 in wc, then the grills regulator will be required. If the grill is designed to operate at 10 in wc. The home tank regulator should be all that is needed. Both assuming regulator orffice is large enough to handle increased load.
Now due to liability issues, I recommend you contact grill manufactor for help. I would not think the yellow connector in you pic is rated for a portable appliance.
I have my gas grill connected to nat gas. I wish you luck with your conversion. Please be cautious.

Have you tried the propane place on Mill Street in old town Lewisville?? Next to the Meat Market. That is where I got a regulator for a 3 burner stove. They have all kinds of stuff there.
