West Texas Game Feeders in San Angelo. Excellent ground feeder set up. Don't have to lift a bag above about waist high.

I bought one of the Texas Wildlife stand and fill feeders about a month ago. Well built feeder with all the bells and whistles included for about $100 less than the HB products feeder. I'm sure the HB feeders are quality products but to me $100 saved made the difference.

X2 Although if I had to do it again, I would rather have supported one of THF members. I've seen some really nice feeders made on here
Wife has always wanted some Hard 8

If you don't mind spending a lot of money, The Judge line of feeders is about as good as they get.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

All season 1000lb are easy to haul, set up, and fill. They cost a bit, since they are fairly low slung, do not get the same cast distance as a tripod feeder, and their varmit cage tends to drop a bit more corn under the feeder than some other options out there.
I got a Kirvoman stand and fill last year and one of his traditional tripod feeders this year. His directional thrower has a very good cast. His stand and fill is fairly heavy and tall. It is not as easy to move arround as the All season. His standard feeder is still taller - but honestly a lot easier to move around (since it is lighter, the legs come off, and it can be flipped upside down. The 1500lb standard is no harder to move around than the 1000lb all season.
Of course it is NOT stand and fill - so filling it is a bit more effort. Will probably fill it with a skid steer this weekend.

If you just use short legs you can make any feeder a stand and fill. I just bought some short pipe at Home Depot and turned my 55 gallon feeder into a stand and fill. Much cheaper... A decent stand and fill like All Seasons are 579.00

Do you have photos or a web link of the cradle. I love my All Seasons Stand and Fill, but I am wanting to add another simular stand and fill design and save some bucks.

I would be interested in more info on the cradle as well. I already have 4-5 barrels with lids I can use.

The only issues that can arise is if your control unit hangs down farther than 12"

Just a bit of an update on the Kirvoman feeder. Filling his standard from a pickup bed is no huge deal - other than throwing 1500lbs of feed that is. Pick up the bag, one foot on the well, then step up to the rail with the other. Filling with the front end loader is definitely less work - pull string and watch the corn fall. You could get lazy filling feeders that way.
I have the legged feeder pinned in place by setting the legs on disk plows and pinning them with rebar. It is rock solid - solid enough some animal smashed the control unit so hard to break the welds off it's mount and launch it a few foot from the feeder. Replaced the mount with 5/16" bolts. Whatever critter (mostly likely cow) did it went for round 2 - but while managing to bend the control box a bit, did not get the satisfaction of emptying the feeder. The bends were enough to keep the motor from spinning though. Missed getting to it last week - so not sure if there was a round 3 or not.
fwiw, the control unit was an old one I found around the house (a spare from at least 10 years ago). I am not going to tarnish the manufacturers name - as I am pretty sure they changed the design of the mount since then to prevent the welds from snapping.
