the scope kinda sucks but the gun feels good. should i buy it or does anyone know of a better deal

Could be a fair deal. My first Savage kicked butt, my second one consistently misfired. Ask if ever misfires before buying it???

I got three Savage products, no problems. They've come a long way in barrel improvments.

Brother in law bought a Savage 111FCXP last year in 300 win. We put an old Leupold I had, on it and I sighted it in. It will stack 180 grain X's like no bodies business. It doesnt have the feel of Remington or Ruger, but it is real effective....

Buy what you can afford and run with it. Savage kills the same as anything else, provided you do your job.

I have an older model Savage 110 in 30-06 that I bought at a pawn shop to use as a ranch rifle to carry around on my Rhino when working on my place. Turns out that it's one of the most accurate rifles I've ever owned.

I have a savage, just put a good scope on it and drive tacks.

I have the Savage model 10 in .243 cal. I have nothing bad to say about and would recommend the product you are asking about. I myself prefer the wood stocks and the value that comes with a Savage hard to beat. I have an old Savage 30-30 bolt action that has been reliable to the end. Well it hasn't meet its end yet and hopefully I will be able to pass it down to my son.

I love my 110 in .270. Still has the Simmons scope on it. Sold my Remmy model 7 as I liked the 110 better and have confidence in it.

Savage are fine. We have a lot of local depts using them for CS work. They are very accurate out of the box.

I've only had one custom gun built and that was 30 years ago. I let it go in a divorce, good riddance on both of them.

If you have got a lot of money and want to impress someone, I guess thats ok. I'll stick my extra money in my ranch operations.

I've got basically the same gun in 223. It had a good 4x-16x scope on it, but I didn't like the Tupperware stock. Swapped it out for a Stockade thumbhole version and like it a whole lot better. New, mine was the same price as the one you're looking at. I'd try to get it down to $300 to $325 especially if you're going to change the scope.

I think the 111 package is $359 new at BPS, a little more if it does have the accutrigger.

i went a bought a h and r 204 . what do yall think about this gun, anyone own one
