Good looking dog. Yes nothing better than actually hunting a dog to teach them.
Also noticed there is not a shock collar on the dog. Don't see that often
I'll take a Black Female every time.

He looks really proud of himself.

That's awesome. Your dog is around the same age as mine. Does yours run 90 mph when free, man mine can run like a loon. I follow the threads u post, good work. Mine had 13 unassisted retrieves this past weekend, it was a true reward to watch it all come together. Took her out yesterday and she perked up and sat at full attention when some birds got close. Keep up the good work

Thanks Pervis, yeah he can absolutely fly when he wants too. Luckily he seems to want to work a little closer in, so I worry about him bolting on me. As soon as I can afford one, we will be getting an E-collar just for that added assurance.

I wouldn't do the ecollar. I tried one w my dog and thought it ruined her, thank god it didnt. Or maybe get one and use it as a last resort. Yeah mine has attachment issues like won't let me out of her sight. She stays close too.

Not a fan of the collar myself. However if you have your dog ecollar conditioned properly it can be a great long range communication and control tool.

Nice loooking dog. He looks... excited. Getting cut next week, cant wait for that to be put away I would do some research before neutering that early and would strongly discourage it.

I think it is all in the proper introduction and conditioning. I like the idea of knowing I can stop my pup on a dime if a dangerous situation presents itself. Also a great tool for hunting smaller pieces of land or public so I can make sure fences aren't crossed when he is a ways away.
