I'm trying to get a few hunters together to book a one-day Duck/Goose combo hunt with Kent Outdoors (Pottsboro, TX near Lake Texhoma) during the first split (Nov 7th - 29th). They want a minimum of four hunters for a weekend hunt and 2-3 hunters for a weekday hunt. I'm flexible as far as dates. They only hunt the mornings. I've never hunted with them before but they seem to be a great outfit. Would love to organize a one-day hunt. if anyone is interested, please PM me. They charge $200 per hunter and they provide a dog I believe. I plan to bring my young yellow Lab Retriever (1 yr old) that I've been training. Reaching out to fellow solitary hunters since they will not put small parties like me together. www.kentoutdoors.com

Well my son and hunting partner is off to college now so I am hunting solo this season as well. Guess that means I won't be hunting with Kent if they can't/won't mix parties.

I hunted with Kent Outdoors for the Quack Shack Show last January and I have to say that was one of the most fun duck hunts I have ever been on. Everyone there was extremely nice and welcoming. Kent also has a great sense of humor. I would recommend them
You may all go to hell and I will go to Texas! -Davy Crocket This is duck hunting...shirts and shoes are optional

Thanks Wack&stack, I am still interested in hunting with Kent Outdoors if anyone is interested. I exchanged emails with Cody and I will definitely be enlisting his services this fall for ducks!

Thanks for the positive feedback!
Here are the guidelines that we have come up with:
Monday - Thursday = 2-3 person minimum Friday - Sunday = 4 person Minimum
WE have tried to make this to help our guides out and to make it a better hunt for everyone all around.
If all possible we try not to mix groups. We will if we have to but will ask the hunters first!
Wish everyone the best!
Holler at us if you have any questions! WE are only a phone call or email away!!
Take Care,
J.J.

So is it a 2 or 3 person minimum mom-thurs? I guess it would be 2 since that is the minimum number given to choose from. Lol

So to answer the question, Yes 2 is the minimum requirement. But with 2 hunter, we will possibly be more apt to mix them with another group of 2. 3 hunters we will more than likely hunt themselves on a weekday. And hopefully that is as clear as the muddy water we hunt! J.J.

I've sent everyone who expressed interest in a Kent Outdoors day hunt a PM today. Let me know if either of the dates I sent will work. BTW, Gayla at Kent Outdoors said she and JJ discussed this over the weekend and they will soon be accepting individuals on a wait list. So there is progress on that front She still said the dates are filling up so it would be best for us to lock some dates in. I told her I wanted to be on a Goose alert list for when they come in and I could be there on short notice.

If you want to shoot wild geese, you'd be better off contacting Ranger Creek or Stanfield's.

For geese, go to oklahoma or kansas if you can.
