1st buck looks 4-4.5 to me, score is mid-upper 130s approaching 140. 2nd buck, 3.5-4.5 upper 120s-low 130s. 3rd buck, 5-6, low-mid 130s.

All are mature IMO. Top buck is right around 130 maybe low 130's, second buck had a lot of growing to do still if the date is correct(he looks like a 130 type frame in the pic already), and last buck looks to be low 130's. Very nice looking bucks. up

Agree with above except the top buck gets to the low 40's pretty easily IMO.

That first buck will fool you with those tall g2s. If he had tall g3s to match he might break 140.

From that one pic, he appears to low on mass and beam length. He has the tine length to be 140, just not the mass and beam length.

Thanks guys for your input. We are new to the Hill Country and it appears body size if obviously different from West Texas. Next question is which would you guys shoot vs walk?

Looks like you have yourself a hell of a hill country lease. Those are some llano county studs!!! The last pic is the 2nd buck in the first set of pics, right?

Yes it is same buck. I just thought that he looked older in the 2nd pic. I guess I am just tryin to find a way to convince myself that he is mature enough to shoot. LOL!!!

Man did somebodies high fence fall down, because when I hunted Llano which is a beautiful place by the way, we were lucky to see a 100 inch deer. Im guessing that my score would be about 5 to 8 inches off if they are 100 percent Llano county bucks. I say this because we had stray exotics that broke out of crappy high fences come tootling by occasionally. Hey if a big ol HF buck bread those Llano does it would make for some big racked hillies. up

Like I said before we have been hunting in the West Texas area for the past couple of years and are really excited about hunting the Hill Country. Had no idea we were gonna see these type of deer. We all have little ones that are just getting to the age to start hunting with us and feel like this is going to be really exciting for them as well as us big guys. Thanks for everyone's response and I will post more pics after our next visit.

He's knocking on 150's door if he hasn't stepped through it.
22-24 Inside
24 inch main beams
44-48 inches of up tines
and probably 28-32 inches of mass.

Congrats and good luck!

This is the same deer in the second pic on my original post. What do you thank TX is this a "shooter"? In the first pic he looks to only be around 3 1/2 maybe at most 4 1/2. I have not had a lot of aging practice or experience so I could be way off what are your thoughts?

IMO I would call that buck a 5 yr old based on those pics. Not all mature deer fit the mold of a sway back, sagging belly, roman nosed buck. In the Hill Country you get a lot of long and lanky deer that hide their age more. This buck fits that mold to me. He has calloused knees and lot of loose skin for a summer time buck. Color, daytime pics of him in about a month will really show his age. That is really a great Hill Country buck.

I think he's 5 and one heck of a hill country deer. They all are. Hard to believe that's a LF property. Must have had a great program for many years and I think some improved genetics along the way some how up
