Mojo's are you using this year dove hunting
I have 3 this Year. had to have the voodoo mojo

None, were we hunt it's 98% whitewing. they don't seem to care about mojos

None. I'll take em as they pass by. I like seeing them drop from a hundred yards up.

If I have to break out the mojo's it's because I'm getting desperate. Hopefully they will stay in the truck

True. But since I spent about $200 on them mojo's and clip ons I put em out. They work great on mourners. I have had a few flocks of WW dip down a little lower to give em a closer look though. Put a few up high. 5 voodoos,1 wind driven and 10 clip ons.

We get some action from ww's off of our mojos every time. Of course we don't ever get desperate either so maybe we just do a better job of getting squared away.

Do you use them in a field they feed in, corn, Milo, sunflowers and such?

Big difference when hunting in a feeding field, and hunting in a cow pasture using decoys.

Feeding field they are looking to land for food, pretty easy for them to spot from the air, many birds have been hitting the field for weeks.
Cow pastures are mainly fly over birds, especially white wings. If you have decoys in a feeding field, of course WW's will come in much easier than in a pasture with nothing more than goat weed.

Might have to shoot the mojos and wrap them in bacon. Hopefully more birds are coming on this little front tomorrow. Damn disappointing, had a lot of birds here 2 weeks ago.

I will just hunt with you

Every once in a while them mojo's are worth their weight in birds. Most of the time, especially when hunting in groups, they don't really come to them ... but every now and again, it'll make a real difference.

Once, a group of 10 of us where hunting a feeding field and we were all lined up along the fence for a couple hundred yards. Two of the guys had Mojo's and they were always the first to limit out and DEFINITELY had more birds coming to them. It turned into be a big gripe session, where guys were say "Oh, you were just lucky and had the right spot where they were crossing". Other guys weren't getting a shot, and there were some complaints. So these guys, being pretty nice, were agreeable to swap spots with some of the complainers. Every place they setup, they had the most birds - by far. This went on for 4 days, every morning and evening.

I couldn't believe the griping and excuses - especially after some of them had some cold ones. And the guys who had the Mojo's turned out not to be very good shooters (probably only hit 1 bird in 10 they shot at)- so they were melting barrels while guys a hundred yards away just stood and watched. Swap spots, and they started banging away again in the very spot the other guys were bitching about 30 minutes ago. Swap back, and same deal.

It was kinda funny, except the one group were being real asshats after a while. DEMANDING they turn over their mojo's after they limited out (and these guys were pretty nice, letting them hunt over the mojo's after they limited out).

I was lucky - was hunting right next to the guys with the Mojo's and got my share poaching off their setup. Made a believer out of me. Bought two the very next week, and picked up another on sale for this year.

I have seen no action on a mojo outside of mourning doves. The WW and collared seem to not care.

When the birds are going into a known field for food, and they see these other birds all in this one area(mojo's, decoy)that's where they will tend to gravitate to. Pasture I hunt is in a pretty good fly way to these feeding fields. Decoys just don't lure them in, in a regular old cow pasture. Mourning dove however do tend to work the decoys very we'll, WW's not so much, unless you are hunting in a feeding field, then I'm sure they work just fine. My
