I was blessed two years ago with Mulie Mike to harvest a very nice fr axis. I left the skull and hide in Texas. European mount for the horns and a tanned hide for my wall was the plan. Well I salvaged the horns but I think the hide is gone. What can I get a nice hide for if even possible?

Sometimes it takes a long time to get the hide back. They put them in a vat with lots of other hides and it can take forever for a light deer hide to come to the top of a bunch of cow hides....

I sell them to The Nugget Company here in San Antonio. I am not certain what they do with them. It wouldn't hurt to look them up and ask them what a finished hide cost?

You might also try gunbroker.com, Chief. I have seen many hides posted there at some fair prices.
