What ever you shoot best. I'm still looking but I do fair on skeet with my 16 ga. Citori You're the only person I have ever heard of with a 16a O/U - but I want one. I have several 12's, 20's, and a 28ga - but I have always thought a 16ga O/U would be an interesting gun to have, and make a valuable heirloom piece. Thought I would have to get an older gun, but I found out that Browning makes a White Lightning O/U in 16ga, complete with invector chokes. It's now on my "to get" list.

Tri Star also makes one that's around $500. not a bad looking shotgun.

Rolling in to my 25th dove season and will have my 25 year old 11-87 Premier by my side. Kinda wish I had kept a tally of how many birds we have knocked down. C'mon September 1, hurry up and get here!

Easy, if it's raining, Benelli SBE II, if its nice out, the Browning 525 Sporting 20ga. Winchester AA's and Clever Sporting loads all 8's

The more expensive the shotgun the worse I am with it at doves.

Ithaca featherlight. 16 ga. The revamped Ithaca company is now based in Sandusky, Ohio and they're making some great shotguns. I have the 28ga model and it's a fine shotgun! Here's a picture from my quail hunt last winter at Walton Ranch in Navasota.

Any 20-28ga. 7.5 loads- them AA arse kickers are too much recoil.

I shoot my Franchi Affinity. It may not be the most expensive or luxurious but its a bird killing machine.

Too bad Ruger discontinued production. I will not sell it. You can still find used, but they are expensive. The good news is I read an article about the Red Label. They are making the 12 again, soon to be making the 20 and are probably going to make the 28 again. To me there are shotguns and then there is the RRL 28. Horizon was a while ago!

Remington 1100 LT 20ga. Sweetest gun there is That's what I shoot! Misses the birds as well as any other gun I have shot.

My 1983 model Remington 1100 is my favorite, but wanting to protect it, I am forced to use the Benelli M2 quite a bit more these days... and it's lighter and kicks less, which helps.
