Sneaky, I was using a fly rod with small nymphs type thing's, but I have also seen them caught with tiny mepps spinners and small crappie type jigs.
McPhee resevoir also has fish. Kokanee Salmon, rainbows, walleye, small MB. I never fished it, but heard locals liked it and did pretty good when we lived up there. I bet you could get some good intel from the bait store there in Delores (across the street from the liquor store iirc) We drove by there, once. My buddy had fished it and said it was good. I may take an ultralight with some spinners. Who knows. Hey, you kill out opening day, it would be fun to fish after tending to all that meat, of course, while you wait to go help the fellas pack theirs  I go a day or 2 early just to fish, sitting by that nice water on the lake, while looking at the surrounding mountains, just plain peaceful. Not a bad idea.

Heck, checking on it, it's a 1pt draw. So a % could've drawn this year every other year. One of these days I'll start applying for it.

I'm committed now. Just bought my tag online. I noticed the fee went up to $615 this year. Yes sir, notice that too did ya? Keeps creeping up, but still a decent value I suppose.

BTW BOBO, you do realize that now since you have no elk tag, you will have a 450" bull at 6 yards I got elk, mulie and bear tag(I have no idea why I have a bear tag) just no CO tags(yet) I'm hunting NM this year if I tag out early I will be north bound though  Beauty of OTC archery elk tags in CO.... I'm actually scouting mulies next week in CO... I may end up with a CO mulie tag... Depends on how much my right kidney brings on eBay

I don't believe in "curses", I do believe in having a world class buck in your lap, or your truck burning up as good, or bad luck depending on your POV... bear tag is OTC. I got talked into it.. Never thought twice about shooting a bear, never interested me... Never know though
