skinnerback that's a great plan but I don't think this style boat gets that style lady.
An interesting note on the paint, it seems like it isn't gonna be the best but I noticed some overspray onto the epoxy and that stuff is not coming off. Not sure why it stuck to the epoxy better than the boat but it did.

Epoxy resin probably, has a better surface and possibly better chemical adhesion between them both. Just wish I knew you where going to get talked into that before you bought it, heck, I could have gave you enough for free to do the boat and your truck so they match

Western let's talk about this paint. I've been worried about it but I've noticed it seems to be getting harder and today I went out determined to see just how stuck it was so I got a stick and tried to scratch it, it left a mark but didn't break the paint so I tried harder same thing. I can get something real hard on the edges and break it off but in the middle normal wear doesn't seem like it's gonna damage it. Could it have taken three or four days to cure? Did I put it on too thick? Am I dreaming because I don't wanna redo it?

It is tough paint, probably not as tough as what we use, but it is designed to handle vehicle traffic, so. The problem will come as it gets age. Almost every night I work, I see stainless poles (bollards) that have been painted with traffic paint, everyone of them start to peel in less than 12 months and they see no traffic. Your saving grace may well be the acid primer you used and the fact that is a latex traffic paint. The latex base may buy you some time. You should know in say 6 months if it's going to peel. Usually latex traffic paint is used for new asphalt and concrete, as it will not discolor as much while the surface is curing (like concrete can take 2 months) and it is much cheaper than an alkyd chlorinated rubber traffic paint.

It doesn't matter now, so I wouldn't fret over it, just get a backup plan if the day arrives.
OH, usually when applied real thick, it likes to "pull" away (cures/dries), and you can get separation from that. (one reason they say 2 coats are better than one thick one on most paints) Bond the 1st coat to surface, then the 2nd coat bonds to the 1st, if that makes sense.

looks awesome. ive got a jon boat I need to work on but it doesn't have a title so not sure its even worth the money and time I bet the little number plate is still on it somewhere. Take a pencil and draw over the number on a paper and take it to the title office and see what they can do. I've done this before and ended up filing for lost title and getting my stickers. They wouldn't let me just tell them the number they wanted the tracing to prove I had the boat.
