I agree on the skeet fields. Used to shoot league at Elm Fork, but now they can't field enough to form a league. 5 stand has taken over but I enjoyed shooting both. Wish someplace around Dallas would have a nice skeet league again.
I carry a gun because a cop is to heavy!

Walter, How many skeet fields do you have? How many trap fields do you have? 5 Stand? Sporting Clays? Professional Instructors?

Elm Fork has new temporary hours for Shotgun, Rifle & Pistol, as of today 7/24/15. Due to the heat they will be opening an hour early (8:00 am) Saturday and Sunday this weekend (07-25 and 07-26)

It's too big of a cash cow. Last I heard they were grossing 100k+ a month in range fees.
I used to go there a lot. Than they brought in a new bunch of ROs who insist on treating people poorly and walking up and making adjustments to people's grip while they shoot, and without the shooter asking for advice. Never had that happen or seen it and I shoot there couple times a month usually between 5stand, SC, PR,and rifle range. I shoot everything except pistol range at Elm Fork and never had that happen either

I have shot at Elm Fork quite a bit and always had a good time at 5 stand and numerous pistol range visits. I only had one instance of an RO that was a little too smart for his own good. Other than that one time, it has been just fine.
