????? maybe it's where I'm shooting them. Did shoot a 225lb hog through the shoulder and it punched a nice size hole out the opp shoulder, soooo, I guess there are just a lot of mixed results. But will say a guy on our lease shoots the 150gr in his 308 and I had to tell him to do something b/c I was tired of having to trail up deer for him.

Ive used the 95gr with good success in my 243, but I dont like to shoulder shoot deer either, neck or just back of the shoulder for a solid lung shot. Had friends use the 55's in 22-250 for years and never loose one, works pretty good in 223 also.

I know a couple of friends who use those sierras on 25-06's. They love them! i think on what i have read is that sierras are very consistant. So you get them to shoot more accurately. Especially if you handload them. I personally use barnes tsx's on my 22-250 but took me awhile to get them to shoot right in my gun. I use it for deer and hogs and they really do the job. Alot of destruction! I was amazed on the damage they do, i guess it's the high velocity. It almost compares to my .257 mag. My friends could not believe it was from a 22-250! But if i had to use anither bullet it would be those sierras. i have used them on deer and hogs with even the soft-point boattail and they also do alot of damage! I think the sierras are still more accurate. I get half inch with sierras and about one inch with barnes.

I used to shoot 150 grain BT in my 06 and 100 grain in my 6 mm. I went to the Partition and now to the Fusion for just those things. Unreliable performance on game. More accurate but I want them to die and I want to find them.

Anyone tried the Trophy Bonded Tipped? I have yet to try them myself, but I would expect much better results as far as penetration out of the TB than the original BT.

Best friend switched to them this year in his 270 wsm.
think the 130 grain.
Took a quartering too shoot. Entered front of shoulder... Bullet exist way back on the back side.............Looked like he swallowed a gernade on the inside.... He was using BT before. Deer took two steps and piled.
He is very happy with them
Exit wound below..... I took the pictures....I like telling him he gut shot it...

I have a good friend that loads the Accubond for his 7mm SAUM. In Feb 2008 we had to do some whitetail doe culling on his ranch. He took out 8 does with those rounds and the farthest one was 227 yds. The bullet was 140 gr if I remember correcty and he never had on that didn't exit. I am trying the Rem Ultra Bonded 140 gr for my 7mm-08 right now and I will be shooting some sika does and axis does with them to see how they work.

I shot 100 grain TSX's and have only recoverd one out of a bunch of critters. and that was a buck at 250+ yards and it was easy to find.... big bulge on the side. Tthat buck took three steps before going down

Not ALWAYS. Only shot 2 deer with an X bullet. 120gr X from a 264 Win Mag. Recovered both, both deer ran 150 yds thru south Texas thornbush. Long tracking job, very little blood. Wound channels were nothing to write home about.
Have had MUCH better results from 125gr Partitions.
For elk or larger game, might look at the X's again. Not for deer.

Like I said, if you want a clear exit wound, then the deeper penetrating rounds are your best choice. If you don't really care about exit wound, like me, the BT's are great. I hunt a really open area and don't have to worry about tracking a deer, besides I use a .30-06 and even with the BT's I get exit wounds. I aim right behind the shoulder and it always leaves a big nasty exit on the opposite side. Even at 200 yds.
