That looks like a hot mosquito-ridden teal hunt. Gotta be careful running commando on those hunts.  It was hot!

Is it possible for a guy that doesnt chime in very often on this website to possibly be a part of this hunt? I'm assuming it's in POC? Absolutely. We have done this a few times and always had a good time. It is in Port Oconner, Texas and in January when the redheads are in full plumage. So far as Elder, you know he aint going to drive down here to shoot a redhead. I would love to have him show up but he aint going to shoot diver ducks here when he can shoot diver ducks in Maryland. Awesome...if the dates work out for me i would live to come....I have a house in POC and I'm usually there most weekends in January....Might be able to put some people up if needed???

We have killed a duck or two on these hunts. Mostly there is a lot of bullcrapping, beer drinking, eating and more bullcrapping going on. Barneywho is it you or the Hayraker that gives me the steady ration of talk about the color of my gumbo. Whichever one of you it is needs to come on down and lets have a gumbo-thon. Winner takes the win and only the win. I will just give you a hint, I am throwing the shrimp, oysters, crab, muscles and my own deer snausages in the pot. C'est si bon. Which one of you two was that anyway.  I'm out on the gumbo cookoff, soup cooking is woman work.

Well I will do this. I am going to make a big old pot of gumbo and all thems that come can come to my condo to eat. Instead of trying to finagle a steak night and all that, the gumbo would be an easy way to feed everyone.

Well I will do this. I am going to make a big old pot of gumbo and all thems that come can come to my condo to eat. Instead of trying to finagle a steak night and all that, the gumbo would be an easy way to feed everyone. let your roux go another 3 or 4 minutes

The wife and I have been helping take care of my parents and don't know what the future will bring, so I have cancelled and not planning any long or distance family vacations or hunting trips this year. And why I am seldom on the forum much these days. But if not retired by then I will certainly set the dates aside from work when known and see what I can do as it gets closer. Would love to go if I can get away. Had a great time staying with y'all two years ago even though I kept running off to hunt quail. Yes, the gumbo is outstanding. But that stuff Bubba drinks..... Oh my.

I am in if there is room! Plenty of room. There are 22 condos and most of them are for rent. Dwayne has 3 or 4 he rents out and Brenda has 4 or 5. We are good on the amount of people vs. rooms.

Oh my. I for one would certainly like to see you make it down. We are in the same boat taking care of elderly. My wife's mother is in her latter years. She lives with us and we have ZERO help from family. They just refuse to do anything financially or physically. So if you can, come on down. I have kind of heard through the back channels you had a lot going on. It sounds like you might be needing a break.

You were at this one...I think this is the one where we were hunting Larry's operation. Yes we drove up to Brookshire for that one. It was off FM 521.
