An enhanced firing pin: http://shop.redxarms.com/ENHANCED-FIRING-PIN-FOR-762-X-39-AND-545-X-39-BCGS-EFIRINGPIN.htmIf this don't work you might have to up hammer spring pressure for firmer contact with the longer FP. Let's us know how you make out! Oh and at first glance it is hard to tell a difference between the overall length of the enhanced FP and standard FP so don't mix em up. As I understand there is surface area removed from the FP shoulder to allow for more forwRd travel deeper into the primer.

Check your bolt face and make sure there's no lacquer on it from the 7.62x39. Those primers are really hard sounds like you are on the right track.

Could be the ammo too. I had a case of ammo that that would not fire in my Ruger Mini 30. Next case worked just fine. Used the "bad ammo" in my AK.

That was most likely the mini 30's fault, I had one and sold it for that reason.

I had a mini 30 with the same problem put an extended firing pin and stiffer hammer spring made it a little better but not perfect. The purpose for me to have a 7.63x39 was cheap ammo but it didn't work out. I sold it as well.
