Are there any disadvantages to this heaight vs a taller feeder? Im thinking the pigs would estroy the varmint cage. I like this stand and fill option though.

The cages are made of 1/4" round horse panel, I've yet to have anyone say that the pigs hurt them. Any feeder from 450 lbs-up they don't even anchor them down. The guys running the 300 lb ones usually do one anchor underneath like a tower and have also had no issues as far as I've heard.
If the pigs ever learn how to use an angle grinder we will go back to the drawing board

I have pretty much switched to all ground fill feeders. We have six on one ranch and two on another(need 4 more). We have had some for over 5 years now He have some big hogs and they havent hurt them in the least bit.

If for some reason you hit the main feeder body, easy fix with jbweld or silicone. Only issue Ive had was I didn't like the orginal coon cage it was to small. Thus why I modified mine. Ramball's cage are bigger then what came on my TWS oldtimers.

Sniper, my wife would love to help with the coon eradication. She had more fun smoking them then shooting her first deer.
May I suggest a corn pile, and 1lb charge of Tannerite.

It just sits on top, it's all angle iron and 14 gauge sheet. Heavy enough to not get blown off
