Been many years since I got into crappie on purpose, nice job and a couple great meals right there.

Were they out of Granger? Are they shallow? Timing is about right. Recent rains have the water still a little cold.

I went out to the pond day before yesterday and started throwing a white beetle spin. Unbelievable.....I had bass, crappie and brim hitting that thing almost every other cast! Caught 14 fish before the lure played out.

Were they out of Granger? Are they shallow? Timing is about right. Recent rains have the water still a little cold. Seems like they are going to be later at our little ETX lake. Fishing wasn't bad, but wasn't like it typically is this time of year. When I cleaned a few, they had plenty of eggs, but didn't look ready to drop soon. Think the late cold spells and rain has the water temp a little too cold still, but still fun to catch and some of the best for eating
