Always have wanted a single stack 9 for some reason so I'll consider it, especially since I can't find a Sig P6 anywhere frown

Pre-ordered mine as well. Hopefully this will be the end of my CCW quest.

Still bigger in every way (length, width, height, weight) than the PM9 or PM40 by Kahr. I'll keep the PM40 I already have.

Kahrs are better than Glocks.

I own both. Would never say Kahr is better, but can't say it's worse. Never had a hiccup with either one of them.

Both are too big to pocket carry, so not sure the increased size of the Glock really matters, but would think that by now some other manufacturer could get to what Kahr got to years ago.

I absolutely hated both Kahrs I've owned. I had both a PM9 and PM40. Both licked big ones. First off, thy appear cheaply made, with lots of nicks and shavings coming off the frame. It was explained to me that this is normal, and part of the breaking in part. Ok. I guess after dropping a pretty decent chunk into a pocket pistol, it's reasonable to expect it to look like a mass produced Chinese plastic toy.

In terms of function, the extended mag for the PM9 had enough failures to feed that I would never trust carrying it. But the PM40 was the worst. Every 3rd or 4th shot would lock up the mag with failure to feed. I was NOT limp wristing, and had several other people shoot to make sure. I will say their customer service department is absolut top notch. They listened to me explain everything, and sent me the prepaid box. Sent it in and got it back within a week. They included an invoice itemizing everything we discussed, and what was done to correct it. After that, the regular mag functioned perfectly... With FMJs. Hollow points still had issues at a rate of maybe one every 75-100 rds. Enough for me to not trust carrying it. Extended mag continued to have issues.

That being said, I'm excited for the Glock 43, and will definitely get one. I went from a Glock 27 to a XDS .45, which I loved, until the recall work was done. After that, the trigger felt absolutely horrible. Now I go between an XDm .45 compact or S&W M&P340, depending on clothes. I'd like something in between, that I can TRUST. I'm thinking this new Glock is it.

First responder price. But commercial price is $449. Still plenty reasonable.

You can tell he is a Glock fan boy because Ray Charles could look at the graphics and see the 43 isn't a pocket pistol. Especially with that square trigger guard with the big pointy corner.

Or, he's just a huge guy! I've known 2 people that pocket carried a G26/27. Both were enormous (like 350+) and wore huge baggy clothes.

That being said, heck no this ain't a pocket pistol! I will appendix carry it. up

I carry a S&W Shield and won't be buying a Glock 43. IMO they are to late to the party, a lot of people already own single stack 9mm. However, they are making a big splash with their advertisement so maybe I'm wrong.

same boat, i'm happy with my shield. it's a soft and accurate shooter for such a small pistol.
if this was out 1-2yrs ago i might have gotten one instead.

I pocket carry my shield often. It takes up the whole pocket, and there are a couple of pairs of shorts I can't do it with, but when I can, I usually do.

Glock value to me is equal parts reliability, interchangeability of parts and high capacity.

The g43 does not do it for me. I'd much rather have my p938.

You can think of first responder pricing as, officer pricing, unavailable to most of us. I can get it, based on my retired military status, at one dealer here in MN.
