This will be my first year on this place so I can't tell you much. Some big deer have been taken off the place in the past(per land owner). 10 bows. $3500 a bow. I will start off with the land owners rules first. No guest at all that included family. Family in camp is ok, just no hunting. Here are a few of my rules. No drunks, drinking in camp only. Feed year around.

Almost middle ways between Jayton and Spur, has a huge sign. I have hunted most of that country when I was younger. There is some really huge framed bucks running around there. Not a lot of deer by no means, but quality that is amazing.

East or West of the highway? I hunted east close to Beggs and we had some really good deer back in the late 90's. MD were so so but an occasional decent one was seen. WT were in low numbers back then and when it rained in the spring we had a few really big bucks show up. Is this the redwash rugged terrain with cedar and mesquite or more mesquite country or shinnery? How long have they been feeding? Sure do miss hunting that country.

small world. I hunted the white camp for 5 years from 2008 to 20012. George had a falling out with his siblings, and they sold off 8,000 of the 13,000 acres. Thats when I got off. The drought in 2010 killed that country, and it wasn't close to recovering when I left.

Did you ever hunt the white camp?

Yes ,tex I use to manage the ranch west of George. I was the one that talked him into leasing out hunts. We had a few bucks that were monsters. Many over 24 inches wide. I hated to hear about the break up of the ranch, I day worked for George a lot . They are good people.

About 10-12 miles west of Jayton off 1221 I believe. We used to lease 'Panther canyon' ranch next to it.

An Fracking company that my cousin is one of the higher ups at bought the White Camp ranch, or a big part of it. My wife was born and raised in Spur, her family has a place in Girard that had never been hunted until I came along. I killed a net 196 off that place, not a lot of deer there but there are some giants running around. We still have some land on the salt fork that backs up to the Mobile plant west of town.
