Well, had to do a fast hunt and get back to the house for Direct TV to hook us up... Well, it is now 12:45 and NO installer!!!!!! So much for 8-12 appointment!  Anyways... Headed out on the lake to where I had found some mallards yesterday... Set up a dozen full body mallards, and 4 floaters... Had a Drake drop in at LST...I folded him... A few minutes later a hen landed, I jumped her and dropped her. Sat there for a while and didn't see anything...finally a pair came in, but lit wide... Then a Canada came over, I called as it lock up...and glided over head at 35 yards...I pulled up and shot behind it 3 times...(that dude was movin' in the 20 mph wind!)  And that was it!!!!! Hope to do better tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!  J.J. Todays birds:  Brandy Chillin' out!

I'm going on a rare mid-week hunt tomorrow before work though.

Yeah JJ is just livin (dazed and confused way of spelling it) the dream. I'm also going on a rare mid-week hunt tomorrow...going to a private spot I've never seen with a guy that has never duck hunted...should be interesting.
You going public Ed? If so email me I might be able to give you some intel.

Nope, exact same thing, going private with a guy I've never met who has never been duck hunting. Trying to offer advise based on my lessons learned this season.
Time for me to start helping others the way I've been helped.

Hey you're the one with a boat, you tell me. 
I have to walk to hunt.
I'm probably (not 100% sure) staying home this weekend. Tomorrow may be my last hunt.

I have only used the boat twice this year, and that was to get to someone else's spot the last 2 weekends.
pretty sure I will be out both Saturday and Sunday...then my next few weekends will be reserved for R&R

I think you should call Direct TV and tell them how you feel LOL Just to think, it could be a inside job from the mallard foundation.
