Things got a little hectic in my life and I have not logged in for almost a year. Here are some knives I have done lately. Damascus Caper with Ivory This one is a small bowie with a W2 blade. The scales are stabilized white oak that came from a tree called the Stonewall Jackson Prayer tree. Stonewall Jackson and his troops camped in an area where this tree was growing. He would kneel at the base of this tree each day during his prayer time. It blew down a few years ago and the historical society sold it to various wood suppliers. Acid etched D2 with some " old school " brown micarta
I fought Him, ran from Him, thought I could do it all without Him, but when I finally turned to Him, He opened his arms and took me in.

Very nice work. Always liked the contrast between the Damascus steel and ivory scales. That oak is very cool especially the history behind it.

Very nice. I would hate to actually use them for fear of screwing up such a piece of art.

Thanks folks I appreciate it very much.
