Hey guys, So on my folks land that I hunt they installed a new pipeline last year and recently re plowed the area again. Since I dont own a tractor I'd like to plant a food plot on this. Is it too early to do so and what would you guys recommend here, complete food plot noob here.

Go Here, click "wildlife" on the left side of page...http://www.mbsseed.com/ Then Click Food plot Guide, the start at the top of the blue bars "Plot basics" You will have to copy and paste, or type in the URL, I can't ever get the link to work
This will cover most of what you will get as reply's. . Seed will vary some depending on where you are (climate) and summer/fall plots.

STX do you think bundle flower will work in Jackson county? Don't see why it wouldn't but call Pogue AgriPartners in Kenedy and ask them. I have a native Desmanthus variety of Bundleflower growing on my place in Goliad County in about a 2 acre area. I am thinking about planting some smaller plots in the next year or two with more of the Bee Wild. I would think the Sabine Illonois Bundle Flower might grow. You can get seed from Turner Seed Co. IIRC on it. It grows better in areas with better rainfall.
