Leaving our old lease due to the lack of deer. Trying to find a new lease and came across this broker by the name of Danny Courville. I have done a search and can't find much on him. Has anyone leased from this guy or know anything about him ( good or bad ).

lack of deer. We got plenty here 4deer county. i just stink as a hunter. Been 4years since killed a hog.

I saw that post from a few years back, wanted to see if anyone else had any dealings with this guy.
It's so difficult to find a decent lease these days, trying to open up my options.

I can promise you where we are there is a very small deer population. Been on it for three years now and have seen very few deer in person and on cameras.
And it hasn't been for a lack of trying. This year was so bad that the pigs have been very slow. I feel bad for the folks who he leased the land to next.

every lease been on were 1buck counties, tis why only payed $200.00-$250.00 for year round lease. i sound like a broken record, the 24-7-365 hogs hunts got me inta leasing. They finaly opened up a WMA close by. loss of income, from $11.00 an hour ta $7.00 an hour, couldn't aford ta lease.

2 weeks ago, I was interested in one of his leases, enough to discuss signing his contract. Only after I requested a clause that said we had exclusive hunting rights did he volunteer it would also be leased to Dove hunters. Why would you not mention that early in the discussion?

If you're good with the price and the land, just make sure you cover everything in your contract.

Great post. The highlighted portion would be enough to send me walking the other direction and also to not deal with the guy should I run across him. That is a major factor and the fact that he didn't even mention it means he's not being above board. What else is he not being above board about?

over hunted? here its been 1 buck county. Tride ta get 1 doe tag for acrage hunting. Told not enough deer. got on lease it had 24-7-365 hogs. Told by credit adviser bad investment. Hunted leases while could aford em. 1buck counties. They opened WMA close by. switched ta that, hog hunten. Few years back, it went 4deer county. know what ya saying. Times is tough, investments. I have never leased from him but he seems like a straight shooter. He has several leases available. You have to be ready to make the move as soon as you call him. His leases go fast and you have to have the cash ready if he has one open. So far, he seems like an honest guy who is very busy. I would lease from him if the price and ranch was right.

Danny is nothing but a coward and the biggest crook in lease hunting. There is no truth to a dang thing this boy ever says but the fact of him taking your money and running. If you lease from Danny ,don't come back here crying about it. There is enough info out there about how crooked this azzhole is Ray Charles can see it a mile off.

You could do what Danny does? Make up about a 1000 signs saying your looking for a lease to hunt on.

POST THEM EVERY 2 MILES DOWN THE ROAD PRAYING SOMEONE WILL CALL HIM.

It's not just the hunters guys that this FOOL takes advantage of, I know just as many land owners that have been taken , or taken him to court over misrepresentation.

If your a city fellow or a elderly rancher that doesn't have Internet to check, your right up his alley.

Lonnie, my dealing with Danny was short and resolute. I called him to inquire about a couple of Young county properties a few years back before I owned. Talk about evasive with the answers. He either could not or would not talk definitively about any of the properties he had listed. The word "rambling" comes to mind. Another thing, the "uncle" was supposedly an owner on most of his listed properties. Was very suspect to me so I went the other way quickly and obviously happy I did.

Like I said above... You will be signing a contract with him, as long as you put EVERYTHING you are expecting/supposing/guessing/thinking on what you're signing for, shouldn't have a problem. I went the other direction after thinking I should at least add the obvious, and discovered... I was wrong about the obvious. "My" lease wasn't really going to be my lease, I would be sharing a lease. Does an honest guy just forget a detail like that?
