Hello

A little extra planning time this time--usually I look way too late. I have an opportunity to get out Feb 19- 22 or Feb 26-March 1 or most weekends in March currently (Thur-Sun).

I am very new to hunting and looking for some guidance especially if I am lucky to get a harvest--want to eat what I kill for the most part (hogs) but open to any animal, just want to get out.

I say I am alone, but willing to meet up with a group if you have space for one more--self sufficient ;-)

I live in Tucson, AZ, so looking somewhere up to about a 12-14 hr drive is OK, I think....Abilene, Hill Country, El Paso, ?????

Not looking for a trophy kill--so not looking to spend thousands to hunt....but open to what it will take

I have a; slug gun, a shut gun, a 22LR, and bow....not shot the bow or the 22 yet, so open (rabbits/Predator???)
