Too many years ago to admit to my gang of shooting/reloading buddies used to use water soaked 3 & 4" thick Dallas phone books sandwiched in layers of 1/4" plywood - to hold the phone books upright and in place and emulate we thought "bone structure". We made a box of 2x4's to hold the "sandwich" and could then shoot from any distance. A real pain and messy to dig out bullets sometimes but very informative....and finished some but started other arguments over which bullet/caliber was best...sometimes a real eyeopener though....and the proven to me source of my real at the time displeasure with Remington CoreLokt bullets out of small under 30 caliber rifles. One of the reasons I still don't shoot CoreLokts even today over 30 years later. We had a source for old phone books for free in those pre recycling days. Ron
