Let's see, I bought a Flir Thermosight for one gun, an ATN X-Sight for another and getting the new (soon to be released) hand held thermal sight (can't name the company yet). Also, got a cheap Gen 1 night vision for others to use. Probably going to buy another X-Sight for my daughters .308....want to see if mine will take the abuse of a bolt action .308 first (we do have muzzle brakes on them to help).
I am not mad at the hogs anymore, so I will keep my kill count down to what I need to eat and what a couple buddies need as well. Probably a half dozen this year.

I had shoulder surgery at the beginning of last year so I missed most of the first 6 months or so, but still managed to shoot more hogs last year than any previous year. I don't think I'm a better hunter in any way, the hogs just seemed to keep showing up! Here's a couple I got last September: The smaller one weighed 100Lbs, the larger was 160Lbs. I shot the large one and then managed to pick off the smaller one on the run using a Browning .308 A-Bolt II with Hornady 150 grain Interlocks (basic soft point bullet). Basically my plan for 2015 is — a) Find hogs b) Shoot hogs c) Eat pork d) Repeat as often as possible One thing that I'll do more of this year is hunt before dawn. I got a Photon digital NV scope last year and it works pretty well for me. The time just before twilight (about an hour before sunup) is great because the sky starts to lighten enough to use the scope over quite a distance even though it's still pitch black on the ground. The hogs never see me coming . . . I just can't say enough good things about the Photon. It's not thermal, and there are unquestionably better NV optics available — but at greater cost. For the price it's really hard to beat!
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

Bored of listening to iPod in box blind watching corn feeder and just taking one easy sniper like shot. Want to walk some up in thick woods/brush with my .54 cal TC New Englander muzzle loader with my 1860 Colt Army revolver as backup.
That would be an nice challenge and rush!

To break 100 this year. Been kinda slow here since the drought or 10/11 but still managed to take 72 in 2014.

my credit not worth think last one got twas 2010-2011 season, got 4 + 3 with couple others hunten OSBWMA. in my defence, could have taken alot more. & it dont look good this year, sit & wait sit & wait sit & wait cant complain. seen several nice deer early season i'm an optamist 98% chance hogs wont show, 50% chance will get one if they do . some of the public land has some great hog hunts. i got cheap posts times is tough

That would be an nice challenge and rush! OSBWMA tis the place ya aut ta be worth, few years back took Ol Kentucky for hog hunt. heard hogs in thick brush. cloths catching on every thing got with-in pistal range, but too thick.ta manuver rifle. next day, took .44 bp pistal. again, hogs, but out of range for pistal. got video, tis my down fall on bringing both, never know. 2013-2014 whin THF first put public hunting form tried ta get a muzzle loader hunt going. theirs hogs their.
