200lb before field dressing, Webb county. Have seen 230lb. from same ranch. Were these deer put on a scale? Yes these deer were put on a scale. We had to weigh every deer taken, before gutting them.

I went through the thread and the largest posted for live weight for a Texas deer was 248 pounds. (!) That was Childress County.
The heaviest dressed weight mentioned was 219 pounds (unspecified South Texas county).

We got 100lb of meat and bone from my 2010 buck. I don't know what that is dressed or live weight? Shot about a 120lb "live" weight spike in December.

Live weight (probably "whole weight" is a better term) is the weight of the deer as it lies dead. Dressed weight is weight after it has had the organs removed.

He was a porker on the ground, doesn't look that huge in this pic. Sabinal is right at the border of hill country/south texas brush, so the deer are typically smaller. This guy was plenty fat.
