Anyone in the DFW area do bolt work on a Remington 700? I have the plane jane bolt handle and wanted to get it milled down and threaded for a larger bolt handle. Talked to a couple shops that have a 2-3 month work log and I'd like to keep from sending it to someone on Ebay/Gun Broker.

I have used local machine shops to do work like that before, usually no back log and I would be a little surprised if they hadn't done something similar in the past. ;-)

Check into Phoenix Custom Rifles. Good guys to deal with and usually a 3-4 day turnaround.

Thanks you gentlemen for the suggestions listed so far.
Do you want a larger handle or larger knob?
Honestly I hadn't even thought about a larger handle. I would have to see what options looked like with a larger handle but I was thinking more of a larger knob. The stock knob leaves me wanting more in a knob.

You might google KRG bolt knobs. Several satisfied users and you can always move it to another rifle.
