Well I finally attempted to score this deer. I will admit it is a lot lower than I had hoped. Using the B/C calculator online and measuring the best I could I came up with a gross score of 128 7/8 with 5 3/8 deductions for a final score of 123 4/8. Oh well, I will take it.

Score isn't everything. That's a 130" buck since he is missing his brow tine. Everyone gets wrapped up in score, but a 130" eight pointer is nothing to shake a stick at. Great buck and something to be proud of

Great buck and something to be proud of This ^^^^^^. Did you take 4 mass measurements per side for a total of 8? That is the most common mistake made when scoring 8 points.

stxranchman, no I didn't take but three per side Between G1 and G2, G2 and G3 and between G3 and end of main beam. I also entered it as a 4X3 correct??

Thank you stx, I didn't take the H1 measurement which was my largest mass measurement. Adjusted for the correct measurements the new score is 137 5/8 gross and 132 4/8 net. I was hoping he was a 140 but much better than previously posted. Assuming his broken G1 was the same as the other this deer would have been 140 on the nose net with only 1 4/8 deductions. Very close to symmetrical.
