I have decided to give bow hunting a go. My brother has a bow he is willing to let me borrow so I can get my feet wet before spending a bunch of money. The bow has been sitting for 3 years and my understanding is that the old string may no longer be safe. Any suggestions on where to take it to have the string replaced and the bow set up? I live in Denton and work in Dallas.

Go East on 380 to Farmersville to North Tx. Archery. They won't try to sell you a bunch of crap and fix you up.

Allstar in Lewisville off of Mill St. Great bow techs, top quality gear, and an excellent selection.

If you can not make it there the only other shop I would trust is Outdoor Pro Shops in Garland.

Best pro shop in the DFW area is Arlington Bow Hunting World. Some people of issues with Ken, but I think he's a great guy. He is painfully honest and some people tend to take that the wrong way, but his work is second to none.(817)478-5990.

Went to All Star in Lewisville today and the guys did a great job. They didn't even make fun of my 15 year old Browning bow. All I need now are a few more practice sessions and I'll be ready to stick a pig.

If you cant trust the experts at ALL STAR you cant trust anyone. those guys are the best in this area, hands down.

Congrats. Just like on this forum, sometimes peoples differences can't be overcome. Unfortunately that's the way it goes. I have used AllStar at both locations and have enjoyed doing business there. Congrats on getting back into Bowhunting.
Hunting is more to me than Antlers on the wall. It's more about the memories you make, and sharing those memories with friends, and family.

The guys at Allstar are first class well Dyron is anyways. By far best and patient person that makes you feel like he's interested in your needs. Highly recommend these guys.

I'd put Faye @ North Texas up against ANYONE.. Plus he's the only one with a Mathews Archery Custom Chopper.. LOL
