I have a doe tag for the SHNF, and was looking on Google Earth for some spots to hunt. It appears from the rules I have to be 150 yards from a road, trail, and the lakeshore. Is that the current shoreline or the "normal" shoreline? I was thinking I might see some deer moving along the dried up part of lake Conroe, but if I can't hunt that, I'll rethink it. So, what say you? legal or no? Sadly, I don't know that much about deer hunting....so I'll be taking some stabs in the dark with this hunt David

I would think the current shoreline not the shoreline when the lake is at maximum capacity. Good luck, you've picked just about the hardest way to hunt deer in Texas that there is.

I have not heard that and when I go I stay in the shaded area on the map and bring my gps. I have not seen a game warden at all either. But I have seen people very close to the road hunting in tree stands..
