I often (daily) scan this forum for something that my spark in interest in a hunt, and in fact has been the source of most of my big hunts over the past few years. However some of the recent post have been so vague I merely just skip right past them. Please outfitters if you are wanting my interest in a hunt let's start with a quality detailed post.
For example: Price- trophy fees, guaranteed shot opportunities, guide fees, animal care... Etc Lodging
Success rates Location Pictures Estimated score- SCI, Boone & Crocket, Pope & Young, ROE... Etc
Thanks and Happy Hunting

Good Advise. Im the same way, I may miss some good outfitters by doing this, but feel if they really want the business they will spend the time to put all the up to date info in the advertisement

I agree someone that is always in the market has plenty of go to places that I can go and get great service and quality whenever I want, if you post something that just says blackbuck hunt $2000 with no pictures or detailed info.I would never call you. If you cant even put the time in to market yourself, your hunt will probably be equally as cheap.

I agree. I too have booked 7 hunts off the forum in the last three years. If an ad says something like great deal on .... Call for prices and more info. I am just not going to call. If its a great deal post the prices and other info!!! I know if they don't, they lost me as a customer.

On the other side of that, I booked a guaranteed hunt with an outfitter where I had to pay up front. I was even told by the outfitter that if I did not get my buck, I could come back until I did. I saw nothing while I was there and when I asked about coming back, the outfitter told me that I must have misunderstood because then he said I only paid for the right to hunt with no guarantee. I had nothing in writing so I was screwed. I got nothing but the shaft and went home very angry and a lot poorer money-wise.

I'm fairly new to this site, but joined it because I'm always looking for a deal on a hunt. I check the outfitters section first every morning. I've saved a few for future reference, but dismiss those that lack information. Then I go to the Exotics section and look for the same thing.

I'd like to add to this. I'm not here to start a fight with anyone., what happened to just hunting? I'm sure I don't sell a lot of hunts because of not having photos. But, again its hunting. I've sent pictures of animals in general and then someone was angry because it wasn't that exact animal. To me that is just shopping. I run wild hunts. You should book an outfitter off of reputation. If his reputation is good, then the hunt should be fine. I agree with putting everything in writing. I guarantee all my hunts in writing. I don't take a dime without doing so. There are a lot of bad Outfitters that have messed people over, which in turn makes it harder for the goo.But the biggest thing I have, is the issues with the photos. Past harvest photos, I get. But specific pictures of the animal you want to harvest? Where is the hunt in that?

I think the photos they are talking about are trail cam pics or of successful hunters and their game...as a representation of what to expect.

I know everyone is different and every outfitter is different. I'm just saying that I'm not going to call for a price or more info. I'm just merely going to go to the next post. if you want my business start with a quality add... That's all..
