If I don't go Fri/Sat, I can go Sun/Mon. I think I will skip the t-storms and 2 inch rain and getting stuck and just go Sun/Mon. Plus I plan to go Tues/Wed and next Fri/Sat.

I'll be in my blind. Love hunting in the rain. Deer typically move as long as its not real, real bad.

if there's thunder or lightning - no. on a noaa weather program, i heard that if you can hear thunder, lightning can travel far enough to hit you. otherwise i go. also, the deer are outdoors every day, all day long

Anything goes. Saw the biggest buck of my life on October 29, 2012. Conditions were hard rain, 40F and wind gusting to 50 mph. I watched him at 25 to 40 yards for about 15 minutes. He never stepped into my shooting lane and in all honesty it was too windy to chance a shot anyways.
I have been chasing that buck for 4 years now. Only ever seen him live twice and on camera 4 times in those 4 years. The other time I saw him it was New Years Eve 2013 with 10 minutes of light left and snowing like a S.O.B. and he made me and took off.
He's still out there as I have seen his tracks a few times this fall. Anytime the forecast is nasty I head out to his neck of the woods. In all likelihood he'll die of old age but hopefully he's sired a few monsters for me to chase in future years.

I am reluctant to bow hunt heavy rains but will rifle hunt any weather. As was said, my favorite is about 40 degrees and light rain

Yes, I hunt in the rain. In light rain, it can be a good time to do some stalking. Last weekend I was in a blind when the front blew through late Sunday in llano. It was only a light rain but the wind picked up very suddenly and was gusting to probably 30mph. I had seen deer move early and then nothing, so I figured they must have bedded down to wait out the weather. Wrong! Fifteen minutes later I was covered with a herd of does and two bucks dogging them. Small bucks, so I didn't shoot one, but it was exciting none the less.
ETA - We've also seen a lot of pigs moving in the rain. They seem to really like it.

i love hunting in a light rain....the walk to the stand, not so much. But I've seen a lot of deer while siting in the stand as the rain came down.

I am pushing my trip out to Sunday. I'll pass on the 2-3 inches predicted on Saturday. We need it though.

I know someone will show a picture of their blindominium proving me wrong, but I have told my son for the last 30 years that you can't shoot one sitting in front of the TV. Go out there and hunt!

A light rain or mist has always been ideal. Heavy rain I will stay at camp till it begins to let up. Same with snow.

All three of my "trophy" WT bucks have been shot in a drizzle/light rain. So, you can bet I'm out in it! Don some rain gear and get out there. The best buck ever killed on our lease was on a very foggy, drizzling rain morning. This is the very best time to hunt the bucks that have become nocturnal.

I absolutely love to hunt in the light to moderate rain as long as no lightning is present because my stand has a metal roof and is 20 feet to the ground.

Got in the stand at 3 30 yesterday in comanche county and it poured until I got out. Didnt stop the deer though. Had a shooter 8 and a lil 6 chase the hell out of this poor doe. Never got within 250 yards and didnt feel comfortable taking the shot. Ended up all together seeing two 8s a 6 and 4 doe.
