I took my daughter hunting last Sunday evening. Had several does around, but also had four buck come in together. They were all milling around together. My question is, I hunt at a place that neighbors Lake Proctor corp land. I haven't seen any "signs" of any rutting yet. Has anyone else that hunts that area noticed this, or is it just me? On a brighter note, my daughter did shoot her first deer!!

Hunt about 15 minutes from lake proctor. Had bucks chasin like crazy the 2nd weekend of the season. Not much since then. My dad did shoot a nice one last week following a doe.

I hunt just west of Lake Proctor, other side of 16, they were chasing like crazy the first two weekends, haven't been back since. Congrats on her first deer. I am taking my 5 year old out next weekend for the first time, can't wait.

The rut is going full blast in Limestone County, but I still see bucks together. Last afternoon I watched a very energetic 4 point that must be drinking Redbull. He ran does all over my hay field from 4 pm till about 5:30. Much of that time there was a very nice tall racked buck of at least 8 points that was mostly watching but sometimes chasing.

The 4 pt chased a doe 500 yards from where they were to where I put out corn. They then called a timeout and ate corn and then resumed running around.
