Hard to say. Could be a birth defect. Saw your post in the hit list thread and agree. I would take him if given the chance

If I was a kid I'd be pretty thrilled to have one like that on my wall.

Could it be a descendant of old "Roman Nose" on the Texas Trophy Hunters video back in the 90's?

My guess is Hog Trap. My son took a big buck a couple years back with deformed nose. Several years previous we had caught fawns in hog traps. They were pretty beat up overnight from thrashing in the cage. We quit trapping pigs the second time it happened. We had the doors blocked where a deer would have to get down and basically crawl to get in. They still did it
Don't hunt pigs or deer anymore...
Hope one of your younguns get him

My boy picks out messed up racks and odd deer to shoot. Buck on left had front leg broken in years prior. Bone had healed back together incorrectly and had odd horn. Buck on right had same nose as the one in your pic. We had figured it was a fawn from the Hog trap

There is a disease, but cant recall if it's a virus or a certain bacteria that does this, crap, cant recall the name either, but read about it several months ago, had pictures of deer like the buck and some where worse.
May have been hemorhagic disease? STX??
