I am from Minnesota and looking to get away for a mid-winter hunting trip. I am looking to go hog hunting for the first time with some buddies of mine and we are currently reviewing outfitters. A couple we have come accross are Shiloh Ranch and White Oak Outfitters Inc. in Texas.
Has anyone hunted White Oak Outfitters or Shiloh Ranch? Any other suggestions?
We have contacted both and can get into either and we are also open to other recommendations. Thanks in advance for the feedback and insight.

Try www.hearts bluff.com. Zach is the manager of the place. They have 5000 acres of river bottom with hogs plus he has a low fence area of about 120 acres for some exotics if you are interested. Heart's Bluff has lodging and meals if you want. They are located about 15 miles north of Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Zach number is 903-573-0306

This past week I was able to experience what Hunters Creek Ranch has to offer. I was impressed! We had a group of 8 guys and we were accomodated very well. We all saw and shot hogs and quality hogs! Lodging, food, and hunting is gonna be hard to beat for the price! We took hogs with rifles, handguns, bows, and even a knife. If you want a rush ask to hunt with Jake and RJ! You will not regret it. Overall rating, we as a group gave the place a 10 and looking forward to our trip back next January!

Basic question is........... How much are you guys willing to spend?? Or are you budget hunting? Lots of these places are going to set you back a good chunk of change.

Sundance.... In regards to your question. As a group none of us had done a hog hunt before. We were not sure what to expect. I figured we would spend between 1000-1500/ea on a hunt like this and to be honest it was half of that! It was more like 750 from the time I left my house in Iowa till the time I got back. I am on a budget-yes, but I could not have asked for anything more out of my hunt! It is what you make out of it-right? We are looking forward to going back to visit Hunters Creek Ranch in 11 months. Maybe there is something bigger and better out there? Bob offers everything I need to have a successful and exciting hunt. I would refer hunters to him any day of the week!

Bobby, I think your web site looks good. The only thing missing is some pictures of the 3 hogs I got with my bow. By the way I want to thank you again for the best hog hunt I have been on out of the past 14 years. We will see you in 11 months. Maybe sooner if you have Wadell to your camp.

If you want to do some of the scarriest, yet funnest hog hunting, find someone with good run and catch dogs and hunt the pigs with a knife, and leave ur rifle in the truck. Funnest hunt in texas, but one of the most dangerous.
