Just had this buck come out. He was 2 points on the left but nothing on right. Or couldn't see any horns. Not even a nub. The left stuck out well past his ears.
Didn't wanna take the chance since it still fairly early in the season.
Should I have shot him it did I do the right thing??

Glad to here. My daughter was pretty upset I didn't shoot. But now she understands and is fine.

If you are not sure, the correct answer is always to hold your fire. Give him another year and he may be back in the same area with much better head gear and give you another shot.

If you are not sure, the correct answer is always to hold your fire. . Yep. My only objection to this would be if you need to reduce buck numbers too and he's on the low end of your 1.5 group. Since he'd be legal in an AR county,
