Shot one at our ranch a couple of weeks ago and tracked him for about an hour but I had to leave to go meet a customer. Walking around the woods last weekend I found a hog skull and bones. Not gonna count it because I had no way of proving it was the one I shot. But it was a dead hog.

My buddy Joe and I walked up on a herd of pork right at dusk Sunday... group had 1 large boar 3 sows and half dozen piglets. Managed to cut down all the adults and one youngster. Boar turned out to be HUGE. Took 3 solid hits to ground check him. He's in the top 3 biggest pigs ever taken on this ranch. 300lbs easy. And 4 inch cutters. #619.  # 620-623

dkershen, good hog. Weight may surprise you. Large body mass. Compared to you ( I'm guessing you at 225#s, that hog could weigh closer to 400 than 300#s. Shame you didn't have scales.

629 (I think) 1 down Saturday night - 175lb sow.
Took one last look out of blind...didn't see anything. Closed down blind, walked outside and heard them at the feeder. I had my headlamp on and was fully exposed...100 y away...they didn't care. I just picked one out and dropped her! There were maybe 20 under the feeder.

4 pigs in 3 nights, then they are gone again for a while!
Two decent 140 and 160 pound boars with 458 Socom and Pulsar N750.
Two "perfect pulled pork size" piglets with 6.8x43 and Photon 5X.
All at night.
They do seem to be hitting the feeders more since the pecans and acorns either got ate or the rain washed them away!
