This morning was my wife's first duck hunt. We saw three ducks and she dusted these two brave animals. We didn't have much action but now she understands why I go without sleep for months on end. She is much better looking than that in person by the way. I just did that to stay out of trouble because she didn't have any make up on and made me promise not to show anyone her pics much less on a forum.
Thank God for each sunrise that you get to watch and take nothing for granted.

She never wants to go on repetative days, or when it is real good hunting weather. This was Christmas morning with her new 12 guage Santa brought her.
This was her first hunt. 20 birds around her neck. redheads, teal, mallards, and a 1 spoonie I think.

I was totally wrong about my wife's reaction. She so wanted everyone to see her smilling face so there is no doubt about her taking these birds.

Well at least you didn't waste any time in letting us know who wears the pants (or in this case waders) in the relationship. We will have to arrange out hunts with you months in advance so we can be sure you will be allowed to come out and play Also if they are smiling...chances are they will be back, but like ducknbass said- they won't ever be around when the best waterfowling weather hits! My wife's first hunt last weekend- (she just came to watch me and the dog) but she enjoyed it.

Congratulation on the hunt with your wife. My wife will never get up for anything as early as a duck hunt. She loves to shop, but she won't get out for a Black Friday sale either until at least 11:00. I did take my 11-year old daughter though. And I did get the joke4 about the ring. My wife loves cheesy horror movies.

My wife used to be the same way about shopping and after almost 14 years of marriage she is realizing the things that are truly important in life...Time with family and friends spent outdoors in the world that God created for All of us.
Thank God for each sunrise that you get to watch and take nothing for granted.
