Went to camp this weekend and found that all the regular traffic from my camera was no longer coming around. All I had on it from the last 6 weeks was hogs anyway, but not getting anything coming in. Same thing from the cameras of the other guys on my lease hunting near me. Bet I didn't hear 8-10 shots in 4 days of hunting . Had hogs coming in every night for weeks and now they have just stopped. Plenty of corn, peanut butter , and persimmons on the trees for edibles. No coons, squirrels, ravens, or anything coming in. I'm stumped.

Same thing everyone has been saying, so much to eat (acorns), they don't need what we are feeding, but they should have plenty of fat when you do get one down!

I seen 38 doe and 2 bucks Sat. morning, if I remeber right around 18 of those went to the feeder and the rest were just grazing. Lots of feed out there im hoping this first freeze will hit soon to kill alot of that off. We had one Sat morning 29' degrees but we need another.

Same for us. We put out some cams over corn piles 3 weeks before the season opened. These are not at feeders. One is in front of a tripod that gets fed by hand maybe 10 times a year mostly during the season. Put 50 lbs of corn infront of each cam and left. We had all kinds of deer activity on it for 2 weeks with several good bucks showing up almost the whole 2 week span. Pulled chip put out 50 lbs of corn again for another week and only 1-2 of the 15 or so bucks from the prior 2 weeks showed up again.

Feeders had no action this weekend in Montague county. Switched to stands that cover a lot ground and saw deer. Acorns got to be thick.....Good luck

I agree with patience right now. They are there just hitting the acorns right now.

Same thing happened to my dad several weeks ago. Corn was piling up under his feeder and nothing on game camera. He was bow hunting near the feeder and saw a boar approach, then it stopped and all the hair on its back raised up and it grunted and walked off. A couple of days later he saw a mountain lion climbing out of a tree right next to his feeder. Couldnt get a shot at it.
On another note, yes my feeders have corn building up but im still seeing deer come to the corn for a couple of bites. I think its acorns and the start of the rut
