POINTS TOTAL PRIZES
40% of entry fees from each contest will go to Points Total for Best 2 out of 3 hunts.
Only 2 out of the 3 hunts will be added together to equal your overall points for points total.
1st thru 6th Place will receive gift cards

*****According to this, they may have one the first contest, but if they don't show up for any more, they are not qualified to win the whole contest. Takes best two out three to win the big prize. Even if they end up with the most points from the first two hunts, and don't show up for the last to be there to take the poly test, they will not win the big money.

Hey Wild Boar, after these hunts are over, KW and myself need to get together with you and let you show us how those high racks work. Ya never know, may have to build one myself before next year if I like how they work. Looking forward to seeing your new set-up

Four days and counting! Weather sounds like it may get ruff for the next day or so. Weather man sayiny possible 1/2" to 1 & 1/2" ice. Could get interesting! Hopefully it will have cleared out by Saturday.

JD, Sorry to hear about your back, hopefully its nothing serious and you can maybe get in on the last one. Take it easy and keep us informed on how your back is doing. I know its no fun when the old back is acting up.

One more Day! Just got done watching the weather forcast, calling for temps up to the 70's and winds up to 30mph. Boy that should really be good for hunting,*$%*-it. Seems we can't buy good calling weather for this years hunts. Oh well, hope to see some of you there for reading of the rules again Saturday.

Will see ya there, we plan on getting there about the same time we did for the first hunt. Glad to hear the 15 mpr wind bit, lots better than 30. Channel 12 saying 68 degrees, heck we'll be able to hunt in shorts! LOL.

It was good to see Wildboar again, and meet cm250

I was pretty excited with my 21 pound Bobcat, until the 24lb cat showed up

And Wilboar wth a 39 lb big yote, but same thing happened, at the last minute a bigger one was weighed!

good time overall, better luck next time to all of us.

*Wild Boar, Thats a sign that age is catching up to ya my friend. (Thats why us old farts go home and take a couple hour nap.) Congrats on your kills of 2 cats and 1 dog. Was hopping you were going to win the big dog, you had it for quite a while. Oh well there's still the last hunt. Will probably take your advise on type of calling next time and see if it helps our chances, thanks for the tip. Like I was tellin you, we should of had at least two, just couldn't get my part of hitting them done.
*Timbertoes, was a pleasure to get to meet you, would have been great if you would have won big cat. Hope to see you again in three weeks also.
*As for the pics, Chris was still having trouble with there web sight, so I gave him my e-mail address and he said he would send me the results from both hunts so far and some pics so I could post them here. Just waiting on the email. I have his e-mail address also, so if I don't hear from him in a few days, I'll drop him a note to remind him.

Im all rested now... fell asleep at half time and didn't wake up till 7 this morning, hunting 24 hrs non stop is hard on the body I know I'm getting old . I'm going to take the seat off my high rack and remake it before the next hunt its got to much play in it, I seen several people checking it out and taking pics of it at the weigh in, maybe I should put a patton on it. We called in alot more animal this past hunt than we did the first hunt mybe the last will even be better.........

Hey timbertoes you need to start back making calls I need some new ones I keep losing mine..lost 3 on this hunt I just need to quit carring so many but you know me 6 around my neck and 2 in each pocket....

Welcome aboard Sooner12. God willing and the creek don't rise, we plan on hunting the last hunt as well. Don't stand a chance at the big money, but could end up with big cat or dog in the last hunt, never know. Maybe we'll get a chance to meet then.

Sooner12,
For "years" all I used was mouth calls. Finally bought a couple e-callers, a Phantom wired call and a couple other cheap ones. Never had any luck with them, always a hassle unwinding and stringing out speaker wire. Usually ended up using a mouth call anyway. Finally came across a good deal on a used Foxpro 416B last year and bought it. Have used it alot and like it. Never have any trouble with it staying charged, figure the batteries are at least 3-4 years old, but they will hold out well for a whole day of calling. I try to run them down completely after a weekend of calling before recharging so they don't build a memory on short cycle time. Nice to be able to set the call where I want, how far away I want and still be able to control it. Have had it as far as 175 yds away in line of sight and could still control it, I was not hunting, just trying out the remote's distance of control. It's nuthing fancy compared to what else is available with only 16 sounds, but it works for me and I'm not out an arm and a leg. Now, after talking to others, I think I may be relying on it too much, should be mixing it with mouth calls to try and get more results. Have a bunch of manufactured closed reed calls and a few open reed howlers that I have had fair luck with getting the yotes to howl back at me. Just today I ordered a couple custom open reed distress calls, can't wait to get them in and play with them. Hopefully I'll have enough time to practice with them and build enough confidence to be able to use them during the last GM contest.

I hope to met up with you guys on the last hunt. My team got 3 dogs this hunt but I didn't make it to the weigh in because my wife was throwing a baby shower for her friend and I had the kids Sunday while she was gone. It was a long night, we shot all three during daylight.

Get rested up for the next one,

Dustin
