I know a gal who killed a deer shooting 35 lbs.
Just GOTTA be able to make the shot perfect!

There is no minimum any more, but I would not let my kids shoot at one with less than 40 lbs.

40 pounds, there was some talk about doing away with it all together.

I am pretty sure Texas removed the poundage requirements on bows.

My wife shoots a Trykon Sport. 38-40#'s is what she is pulling. She took a mature buck this weekend with a very well placed magnus buzzcut.Accuracy is the important key here.

With the technoligy of todays archery equipment 35 to 40 lbs would be a minimum. I would make sure my broadheads are razor sharp and I would make sure I was using a cut on contact broadhead and not a mechanical or chisel point.

My son is 10 and he's killed two bucks this year with his new Diamond Razor Edge bow pulling 40 lbs. He's drawing 22" and is getting 175 FPS with 100 gr Muzzy Broadheads.

I'd highly reccommend this bow to anyone as it is extremely quiet, accurate, and is adjustable from 30-60 and 18-28"!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I would recommend finding a quiet bow and trying to crank out as much KE as the youngun can manage.
