Haven't decided yet, either my 16.5" 6.5 Creedmoor or 8" 300 Blackout.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

It's not the weight of the load that breaks your back, it's how you carry it.

Either my Ruger M77 tang-safety in 7-08, my Weatherby S2 stainless in 300win, or my S&P AR-15 5.56. I think I'll take all of them. You know, just in case.
If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

I don't know why I even bother to carry one since I never shoot anything, but just so I won't look stupid I'll probably tote my trusty 7 mag or my brand new custom 25-06. Actually the video camera is much more likely to get a shot than my rifle is.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

Depends which stand I get in... Winchester Model 94 .30-30 with a wide angle 4X scope for close. Remington 700 BDL 7mm Rem Mag with a Leupold 3 X 9 if I have to reach out.
And maybe my Para-Ordnance P-14 .45 ACP if I fell I need backup.

Parker Hale .270...it was my grandfather's rifle and I feel like he is with me in the stand even though he passed away in 1995. He was the one that really got me into deer hunting as a teenager...always think about our trips to Cherry Spring in the late 80's/early 90's...

Doe season for the first 2 weeks in Cass Co. so I will be carrying my AR 15 for a good clean head shot. Usually keep my 30-30 in my box blind just in case a bruiser comes in. Also have a .44 Mag. on my side.
