I am heading to eldorado this weekend for a bow hunting trip. A friend of mine has some family land there and it's nice to get away. How are the deer moving, I know it's hot but just curious. If anyone has any pics or info let me know.

up Depending on the place, you're in a high deer density area. If feeders have been throwing awhile, you should see deer. Lots of deer in Schleicher and surrounding counties. Good luck and post pictures, please.

Just a heads up. We saw a ton of deer even with near 90 temps in the afternoon. I wasn't able to harvest a deer but I saw two shooters. One was a mid 120s 8pt and the other was a 145-150 ten. Neither would get any closer than 75-80 yards. My only advice would be to stay out of pop up blinds the deer literally freaked out when they saw them. I had much more luck cutting branches and making a natural brush blind. I had several young bucks inside bow range and a handful of does.
