I'm sure someone,or perhaps many, out there have used a little DC power to keep coons off their feeders. I have coons hanging on my varmit cages almost every night. Would direct wiring a 6v battery to the cage help? Other ideas? Thanks in advance for any input.

American Hunter Feeders had a varmint cage and the electric shock system on it. You do not want direct current but intermittent current like an electric livestock fence. They might still sell it. Get you an Eliminator Spinner Plate and it will help out a lot.

I have made this comment on other post. I use 4" PVC cut to 5 ft long, put on legs (legs run through the PVC). My buddies on lease thought I was nuts, now they all do it. No squirrels or coons climb the kegs. The white PVC does not bother the game.

PVC is a maybe..we have game cam pics of the coons shimmying up the pipe on their bellies...bear hug style. Can't remember if it was 4" maybe it was bigger and that made a difference.

The biggest failure is the one who didn't try.

I prefer lead to deter coons...only effective way I have seen to stop them playing jungle gym on my feeder

Dog-proof traps or a good cage (I use a good cage).
