Good luck to all the youth hunters hitting it tomorrow!
I pray my son has better luck than he has with his first season of bow hunting...we've seen quite a few deer but haven't been able to even draw on one yet. We're out tonight and had 9 deer show their faces but none got in range due to cattle. He will be pulling the trigger on anything legal tomorrow, although we have a few bucks that would make us both smile.

I'll be heading out in 5 hours with my daughter, and then my son for the evening hunt.

In the stand for about an hour. We heard 2 groups of coyotes when we got here and had deer snorting around the feeder about 25 min ago. So far looking like a fun morning.

Yeah we walked in and had three deer in the food plot. We made it all the way to the stand without them spooking And as we were standing at the stand watching them (thru a thermal) coyotes started going and they spooked off. Hoping for some more deer action. So far coyotes have called off twice and a lone coyote yelped for several minutes really close. Praying it didn't spook off all the deer.
Good luck!

Sitting with my 14 year old son, feeder went off. Two young bucks are eating corn and a doe and a fawn nearby under an oak tree eating acorns. I have noticed the deer backing off the feeders lately, probably due to the acorn crop.

Nothing was happening with the feeder we were sitting at so my son said let's walk over to the other...his gut was correct. Came up on a bunch of doe and at least one young buck. One of the doe gave him a perfect shot and held that until my son pulled the trigger. He made a nice 70-80 yard shot fr His knee and she laid down less than 15 yards away. Our first spot and stalk deer.

Didn't see a deer this morning here at lease in Anderson County. Got out of stand by 945. We will give it a go in the morning before church. Coach
