i have a 22-250 with a bull barrell and a heavy scope so I need a sling that wont slip and is comfortable...(I know thats what everyone wants haha) but I have a spending limit of under $50 because Im using a gift card. Anyone know/have a sling that meets the criteria??

I bought one of the cheap one hand adjustment slings with a rough leather that sits on the shoulder. I can't remember the name of it but it states one hand adjustment all over it. I love it. If I'm wearing a T-shirt or heavy coat I simply thumb the loop and slide it to fit.

I'm not home to look at mine but I think it's Butler Creek. It's all nylon and rubber. The shoulder pad has a non-slip surface. I don't hunt with it on (carry it in my daypack) but when dragging an animal, it stays in place. I can guarantee that I didn't pay anywhere near $50 for it!

Butler Creek Neoprene. Adjust it so that it is tight over your shoulder and it WILL NOT slip.

Thats why I like it so much. Doesnt move around on your should and you dont have to hold it on there or keep re-ajusting it.

I like the claw, going to get one for myself. The leather one I have is nice, but it slips off.

+1 on the claw. I bought one this year and soon they will be on all my rifles.

Well, how's this for a compromise: I have both the Claw and Butler Creek slings. Both will make you happy. IMO, the Claw is a bit less likely to slip, but the Butler Creek is a little "stetchier"--it absorbs the bounce of a heavy gun, so your rifle seems a little lighter.
