I am throwing a bachelor party sometime in early december. Thinking about doing a duck hunt early morning and then hitting the town at night. Probably need to be somewhere close to Houston. The coast would be fine as well for the duck hunt. How many guys can you usually take on a guided duck hunt or does it all depend on which guide you use? As far as hunting goes is it better to do something on the bay or something close around Houston? Also any other ideas would be great...

I wanted a party where the men young and old could attend. I didnt want the traditional stuff with the very young boys. So i decided on the "Moonlight Mistress".
It is a big big boat that departs from Matagorda Harbor. It has a full kitchen, 16 bunks and 2 story. It has two large generators to run the lights. You leave at dark amd fish in the lights all night. We brought food and all kinfmds of booze. That was to me was much better than some bimbo draining a grand out of my and everyone elses wallet.

Have you thought about a tower shoot? We've done one in Waller, and had a blast.
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Sounds good as well...Thanks guys They used to do it all the time. I am sure they care not as long as you're paying That time of year they could probably park on a deep hole in the river. find the right hole and you can really hammer them. I made a whole bunch of BBQ chicken wings. We had briskets, lunch meats, everything you can dream up. It was the best bachelor party I have ever been too. I have done the traditional 100 times. This was different and unique. The best part is I didn't get a arse kicking from my sisters for taking the young boys to a boobie bar. The little boys had a blast, the old men had a blast. Good stories came out of it too. My cousin is now getting pretty old in body. In his mind he is still a punk teenager. He drank a whole bunch of Jack black. When we got off the boat and on solid ground at daylight, he lost his inerts on the docks. He was barfing up something fierce. Of course we were all laughing calling him an idiot. When a seagull ran over and helped himself to a free meal of the vomit, my cousin went into vomit OVERDRIVE. We howled with laughter until we were rolling on the ground. That story comes up everytime we see him. That was 12 years ago. Good times!!!

I second the Tower shoot I attend one for a bachelor party. We dove hunted that morning(second season)then went to tower shoot. They fed us lunch then that night went out on the town. I had a blast. I think we paid 250 for dove hunt and tower shoot.

Dec 13th, there is a towershoot in corsicana (uplandbird)
Hidden lakes will have one too, dates not released yet.
You can do a combo duckhunt at hidden in the morning, or release some birds at both in the morning/afternoon. Hidden has a very nice lodge to stay at.
